Mazda 5 (05 - 10)

It is one of the best people carriers in its class, but it is generally overlooked in favour of the likes of the Citroen Grand Picasso, Renault Grand Scenic, and the Volkswagen Touran. The Mazda 5 is an all-rounder, practical and versatile. It doesn’t cost a fortune to buy and/or keep on the road. The interior has acres of space; it can carry up to seven and the boot is a decent size. The ride is comfortable, the steering is sharp and the driving position gives you great visibility. The handling is excellent. There are two petrol engines to choose from; the 1.8-litre and the 2.-litre. Both are efficient with low CO2 emissions and return some decent MPG.
